It was against the law for me to have a crow. Someone gave him to me and I raised him, much like I did my other birds, and he survived. I never caged him and when he took his first flight I was there. He came and went as he pleased, always returning with a new story about something he'd seen that day. Most of the day he would spend with me in my studio, getting into some kind of mischief or another.


You see, I never really had a crow, in a way this crow had me.

Seemingly unrelated images appear of birds and beasts, exotic places, familiar locales . . . Tuscany, Provence, California, and the Mediterranean. All inspired by the presence of a Muse.
